Professional Background
Hello! I'm Dr. Katie Boggs.

I am a licensed psychologist based in Charlotte, NC. I earned my doctorate in Educational Psychology, with an emphasis in Family Therapy, from the University of Minnesota. Prior to that, I earned a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Indiana University, where I graduated cum laude, and I was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
I began my career working as an educational psychologist in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. After becoming a licensed psychologist, I had the opportunity to practice psychology in China, The Netherlands, and Kentucky, before settling in Charlotte, NC and opening my own business.

In these various settings, I conducted hundreds of psychoeducational evaluations, provided individual and group therapy, and consulted with parents, teachers, and school personnel. I worked extensively with families, children, parents and young adults with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, phobias, depression, behavioral problems, and parenting issues.

Over the years, I noticed that many of my clients didn’t necessarily struggle with a mental health disorder, but instead felt stuck and were seeking change—whether it was in their relationships, performance at work, school, sports, or simply in life. I found great fulfillment in helping these clients navigate their challenges, which led me to expand my expertise to include coaching. To enhance my expertise, I completed coursework at the College of Executive Coaching, an ICF-accredited institution, and earned certification as a Professional Coach (CPC).

I am currently a member of the North Carolina Psychological Association, and the Mecklenburg Psychological Association.
